Designed by Hearts of Hope’s very first volunteer, Kathie Grassi, a portrait artist from Upstate New York.

Kathie’s background includes art in every form, with experience across all types of artistic media. But her art also shines through her desire to reach out and help others. Hearts of Hope has always been volunteer-driven, but Kathie has the distinction of being the very first person to offer her art and her hands at our first “Paint with a Purpose” event following the tragedy of 9/11. She has shared her unwavering support since then, and this artwork commemorates 25 Years of Hope.
