Terry Becker, Member, Board of Directors
"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth." Muhammad AliFew people have a deeper sense of community and a spirit of giving back than Terry Becker. Hearts of Hope is honored to have Terry Becker as a member of our Board of Directors. She brings a unique skill set to our foundation because of her comprehensive knowledge of nonprofit management and organization. For those who know Terry, it is commonly said "you won't find someone with more talent and energy, and you absolutely won't find anyone with a bigger heart." As Chair for the American Cancer Center Society's Relay for Life from 2011 - 2015, Terry was a top fundraiser for seven years. She has served as Co-President for two parent associations, Education Chairperson of the Montville Township Women's Club and is currently the Recording Secretary for the Women's Club. In addition, Terry volunteered with Hearts of Hope in the early days of our formation as a charity. In her own words she describes "how fortunate I was to be introduced to Hearts of Hope during a local Montville, NJ, Girl Scout event.''' When the home office for Hearts of Hope was in New Jersey, she participated for several years. Terry resides in Montville, NJ, with her husband, their two beautiful children and their new puppy, Charlie.
